ANIMATE (2013)

Animate is a sci-fi thriller that was conceived as part of SCI-FI-LONDON’s 48hour Film Challenge. The team had 48 hours we had to write, film and produce a science-fiction short film. The final result was a film that eludes to a dystopian future where cyber terrorism and digital face abductions are strife.

The story begins with two men in a basement, one playing the interrogator and the other the captor. As the story develops we begin to realise that their stories are closely entwined.

The short story for the piece was written in the morning and by midday we were filming it. The edit was done between takes. The project was a great opportunity to push ourselves both technically and creatively. It still makes us smile to this day.

‘Tick tock John…Tick tock’.
