Distant Nights (2011)

Distant Night is a short visual piece based on the poetry by Christopher Walsh. It was derived from a printed collection of poetry work called ‘Distant Memories’.

The aim was to shoot various video sequences that would then be matched up with the individual lines from the poem. The theme was to be dark, engaging and filled with night time scenes of inner city isolation and despair.

I played the ‘producer’ role as well as editing the final piece (in Adobe Premiere). After Effects was also used to add the finishing visual touches in post-production.
